The method investigates the effect of temperature, catalysts, and other factors on chemical reactions and yields information about reaction mechanisms. A good understanding of kinetics is very important, for example in the chemical industry for process development and safety investigations as well as in the polymer industry for understanding the curing behavior of thermosets.
