Voor explosiegevaarlijke gebieden gelden extra veiligheidsmaatregelen, maar toch is er nauwkeirig wegen nodig. Ne nieuwste versie van de Pinmount SWC515 weegmodules (loadcells)maken een weegschaal van elke tank of reactorvat. Ongeacht de werkomgeving  bieden ze veiligheid en voldoet u aan de nieuwste wet- en regelgeving.

The Pinmount SWC515 was developed for heavy duty process weighing. Introduced in 2007 it was an instant success with our customers thanks to its reliability and accuracy. Regardless of the operating environment, harsh or hazardous, the Pinmount provides best in performance in both static and dynamic weighing loading applications. Any process vessel can be turned into an accurate and robust weighing scale while ensuring full safety and compliance with latest regulations. For extra safety and redundancy reasons all safety relevant features are integrated twice. It offers a rugged construction and many features that provide not only easy installation but also an easy system to replace a broken load cell. The Pinmount features the SLC610 load cell which has a built in rocker-pin design that automatically aligns the load forces for accurate weighing. The load cell is also hermetically sealed and rated to IP68. Following its introduction however the development work has not been stopped and the Pinmount has been continuously updated with more and more industry leading features.

Most people are familiar with safety requirements relating to electrical equipment including load cells. Additionally there are mandatory requirements relating also to non-electrical equipment. Purely mechanical devices can create a hazard in explosive atmospheres by several means, for example, by generating frictional heat or sparks from impacts. METTLER TOLEDO has performed an Ignition Hazard Assessment on the Pinmount hardware in accordance with EN 13463-1. The Pinmount SWC515 does not present a hazard in Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 when installed according to METTLER TOLEDO instructions. KEMA Quality B.V. reviewed the Hazard Assessment and indicated their concurrence by issuing an Attestation of Conformity. A Declaration of Conformity is now available for this product. With added safety and compliance to mandatory requirements for hazardous areas applications, Pinmount is unique in his category.

Characteristics and accessories for unmatched safety and compliance

The material and accessories of the Pinmount SWC515 are designed for unmatchable safety and to use in harsh and/or potentially explosive environments: These include:

  • Extra hazardous area approval, as described in the above paragraph
  • A new 316 stainless steel construction for added corrosion protection in harsh chemical environments
  • A new Teflon cable for improved resistance to chemical attack and water absorption. The Teflon cable coupled with the SLC610s glass-to-metal cable entry makes this the ideal load cell for harsh chemical environments.
  • An optional 20m cable to make wiring of larger scales easier. For example, the J-box can be cited farther away from the scale in a better protected area.
