The RFID chip in the Pipet-Lite XLS pipettes from Rainin is a global innovation. Calibration data is sent via radio frequency and stored in the new Calibry software. This software contains all the measured data from quick tests through to calibration measurements. Communication could not be simpler: once the Calibry software has been started, simply hold the pipette up to an RFID reader. The quick access window then appears automatically in the display of a connected PC. At a glance, you can determine which pipette it is, when it is due for calibration and whether maintenance is due. A single click accesses other levels such as the complete measurement history, task management or the numerous reports, which can be customized individually. The software automatically detects the measurement results of a calibration and writes them to the database. Errors associated with manual entries are thus eliminated. Once calibration is complete, quality-related data is updated wirelessly on the RFID chip of the pipette. This is a great advantage in terms of security, especially in strictly regulated applications or if various users access one pipette.
Specifications for 1500 pipettes already integrated ISO 8655 and the manufacturer specifications for more than 1500 pipette types are already integrated in the database in the latest version, Calibry 5.0. Technicians have optimum support in the laboratory during calibration or quick tests: the stored methods can be called by simply clicking on them, and users are guided through the process step by step. If tolerance levels are exceeded, the system provides a warning in the form of color changes and audio signals.
As many individual methods and services as you want In Calibry 5.0, any number of methods can be freely created. Integrated task lists provide a quick overview of all the pipettes to be calibrated. Individual calibrations can be called directly with all the relevant information. Values that stand out, such as increasing tolerance deviations at shorter intervals, can thus be identified as risk factors at an early stage and highlighted in color. In addition to convenience and security, this solution offers company-wide, transparent and risk-based pipette management and supports the individual definition of maintenance and calibration intervals.
Companies who opt for pipette servicing through our own expert Rainin service laboratory also benefit greatly. All data is managed in the service laboratory and made available to the user via the RFID chip in the pipette.
With the combination of RFID technology and Calibry software, new Pipet-Lite XLS pipettes from Rainin offer a new level of security and convenience. They ensure conformance with ISO 8655 and 21 CFR Part 11, save time, offer convenient and secure operator guidance and reduce the risk of errors through extensive automation.
