The brand of choice
Before making the decision to partner with METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE, representatives from F&N United invited three suppliers to bid for the opportunity to supply three new metal detection systems. Each of the proposed solutions was evaluated using a range of performance tests focused on the relative sensitivity, stability and overall reliability of the system. F&N United Limited ultimately chose METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE to supply the systems based on the following:- the results of the stability and sensitivity tests
- the competitive price
- the knowledge and professionalism of the sales engineer
- SAFELINE’s reputation
- the level of after-sales support provided
Reliable and effective commissioning
Representatives from F&N United were very impressed with SAFELINE’s 'IPac' post-sale equipment qualification package. IPac utilises locally based knowledgeable service engineers to confirm the satisfactory installation and effective commissioning of new metal detection equipment. Familiarisation training on basic operation, functionality, user settings, and optional features is also included.
The complete IPac process is fully documented to verify that the procedure has taken place, and documentation can be used to support compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
High performance inspection systems
The SAFELINE solution was comprised of three new R-Series Signature single frequency detectors which are constructed from stainless steel and have been designed to withstand extreme operating conditions. On detection of metal, a stop alarm system is activated which immediately stops the conveyor belt and simultaneously sounds an alarm to alert operators of the contamination. Contaminated product can be removed from the production line and investigation into the source can begin.
