Colored Weight Control Saves Time and Money

The configurable colored weight control system, colorWeight®, increases productivity during manual processes. The multi-color display quickly alerts the operator helping to prevent losses, overfilling and errors. ColorWeight® also saves time in a variety of weighing processes.

Colored displayThe back-lit display of the IND449check+ terminal is easily configured to display a range of colors. The display will change to a pre-set color depending on the weighing or piece counting result obtained. As a standard example, if the display is yellow, the weight or count is below the tolerance value. Green indicates that the optimum weight has been reached and a red display shows that the weight is above the tolerance value. But customers can specify which color they want to indicate which status has been achieved. The parameters for color change can be set with the numerical keyboard. This color display feature provides improved support to operators supervising several machines at the same time, as they can easily view, from a distance, the status of each machine. The scale can also communicate with and control other filling and loading equipment via optional RS232 or digital I/O interfaces.

The colorWeight® display also improves speed and accuracy with manual filling, portioning or classifying in many food processing operations. The graphical bar at the lower end of the display shows the filling status of the targeted portion giving the operator fast updated information during the whole filling process. The bar graph in combination with colorWeight® increases speed in filling and reduces time consuming manual corrections of over or under fill.

The colored weight control system of the colorWeight® display saves time in a variety of weighing processes, including:

  • Portioning
  • Checkweighing for quality control
  • Classification
  • Filling and dosing
  • Piece counting
