Designing a batch formulation system must take into consideration many parameters. The pleasant-smelling substances are processed in Ex areas. METTLER TOLEDO offers a system that meets the strictest of safety standards.
The components, when blended together to develop a perfume, can appear in very different quantities, from tenths of a gram through to hundreds of kilos. For this reason the warehouse and the weighing zone are set up according to the weights of each raw material to be dispensed. The ingredients are identified by barcode scanning and thanks to connectivity of the weighing terminals to customers ERP over RS232/Ethernet the inventory is actualized in real time.A proprietary software solution from METTLER TOLEDO ensures complete management of the batch production processes. It coordinates communication between the installed weighing terminals and the customer’s ERP. According to the daily production schedule, the batch recipes are directly downloaded to the ID7sx weighing terminals that monitor the formulation process. These processes are automatic, semi-automatic or manual. The I/O command functions and the display of the ID7sx are particularly appropriate for automatic or semi-automatic operation while offering good human-machine interface for manual operation. ID7sx is appropriate for application in ATEX zones 1/21.
