METTLER TOLEDO

Advanced thermal analysis with thermoptometry

Combining DSC with microscopy or chemiluminescence measurements help with interpretation of thermal changes.

The combination of a DSC 1, High-Pressure DSC 1 or a HP DSC 827e and a microscope equipped with video and image capture technology allows a sample to be observed visually while it is heated or cooled in the DSC. This visual information is often extremely helpful for the precise interpretation of events recorded in the DSC curve.

Furthermore the HP DSC 1 or HP DSC 827e can easily be expanded to a high-pressure DSC-Chemiluminescence System. This enables you to simultaneously measure light emission and heat flow from a sample subjected to a precisely controlled gas pressure. Chemiluminescence measurements yield information on local oxidation rates and the influence of stabilizers.

Hyphenation of thermal analysis with optical techniques couple 2 instruments together to gain insights previously unseen by either technique on its own.
These technologies will help you gain better insight and advance the analytical capabilities in your lab.
