In a professional testing approach, measurement errors caused by evaporation must be kept to an absolute minimum making the use of evaporation traps indispensable. With evaporation measurements under standardized conditions, we could establish that the evaporation rate with the XP/XS evaporation trap was 59 times smaller compared to an open beaker. This accessory is recommended by the ISO8655 norm for pipette calibration.

It is very easy to convert your balance to a pipette calibration station by simply mounting the corresponding evaporation trap.
